About the role#
Compliance interns work with experienced professionals to learn the laws, regulations, and ethical standards that govern the financial services industry. You will gain practical insight into how policies and procedures are applied through hands-on tasks and projects. This role is available across several specialized teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic analysis on department, firm, and industry data.
- Assist with compliance reviews of various business units.
- Conduct preliminary investigations on potential watch list matches using databases and public records.
- Gather information regarding client activity and escalate suspicious findings to the team.
- Coordinate the institutional branch review process.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint training materials.
- Handle administrative functions such as answering phones and responding to client questions.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Criminal Justice.
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- A record of academic excellence.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Financial market knowledge is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote.
- Schedule: Full-time (37.5-40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (15-20 hours per week) during school semesters.
- Term: Rolling, with an expected start in April or May 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
