About the role#
This co-op role supports the Macro Strategy team at Wellington Management. You will work alongside a Macro Strategist to analyze US equity sector-based macro trends and corporate profits. The position provides direct exposure to investment professionals and offers insight into how research informs investment decision-making. This is a full-time, paid position for Northeastern University students for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support research and analysis on US equity sector macro trends and corporate profits.
- Organize research inputs and synthesize market data to help translate macro themes into investable ideas.
- Conduct data analysis and create research outputs that support sector-level insights.
- Develop presentations, summaries, and other materials to communicate findings to investment audiences.
- Assist with broader research initiatives and priorities for the Investment Research Leadership Team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Prior co-op experience.
- Excellent communication, writing, and Excel skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated interest in the investment management industry.
- Strong academic record with relevant coursework in finance, business, or economics.
- Prior work experience in a financial or client-oriented team role.
- Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau and programming with Python.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
