About the role#
The Trading Research and Analytics team uses data to improve execution results for our clients. As a Quantitative Trading Co-op, you will join a collaborative environment and work alongside traders, portfolio managers, and relationship managers to help meet investment expectations. This role is open only to Northeastern University students.
What you'll do#
- Produce detailed research reports for the trading desk on execution quality, liquidity, and transaction costs.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on large scale datasets to identify trends and validate methodologies.
- Maintain and enhance data platforms, the data lake, and internal dashboards.
- Work with traders and internal groups to answer business questions through data analysis.
- Take ownership of a longer term project, such as automating manual processes or leading research initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Tableau.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with financial markets, trading, and investment processes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly.
- Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to high quality work.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position located in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day of remote work per week.
