About the role#
IDC is seeking a Finance Transformation Intern to join our team in Boston. This is a full-time, 6-month opportunity. You will work at the intersection of change management, communications, and strategic transformation within a global technology insights company.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, planning, and rollout of change management frameworks and communication plans for transformation initiatives like post-ERP unification and our AI Native journey.
- Develop and distribute regular Finance organizational communications, such as newsletters and leadership talking points.
- Create content including guides, FAQs, training decks, and playbooks to support the adoption of new tools and processes.
- Support stakeholder engagement and change readiness activities by gathering feedback and identifying potential resistance points.
- Assist in the planning and execution of town halls and leadership briefings.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- Track and report on transformation milestones, communication effectiveness, and change adoption progress.
- Develop presentations, one-pagers, and workflow documentation to support executive decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve change management and communication processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Change Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A genuine interest in AI and digital transformation.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks like Prosci or ADKAR is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, SharePoint, or Smartsheet is helpful.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week).
