About the role#
RGA is seeking students to join our Finance organization for a summer internship. You will apply your knowledge of finance, accounting, and analytics to real business challenges. Interns are matched with specific teams based on business needs and individual interests. You will gain exposure to areas such as accounting, financial planning, reporting, controls, data analytics, and process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Support financial and accounting analyses, reconciliations, and team reporting.
- Gather, organize, and validate financial or operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and workpapers for finance leaders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the enterprise to complete assignments.
- Contribute to process improvement, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.
- Conduct research and ad hoc analysis to support strategic projects.
- Maintain clear documentation and review your work for accuracy.
- Build professional relationships and communicate progress or questions to your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of finance or accounting concepts.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
- A learning mindset and willingness to seek out expertise.
- Experience with data analytics, visualization, automation, or programming tools is preferred.
