About the role#
The Global Operations Co-op joins the Fund Treasury team to support the financing platform for our hedge funds and sub-advisory alternative funds. You will learn the core concepts of hedge fund financing management while working alongside internal teams and external partners like prime brokers. This role involves cross-training across functions to ensure performance and provides exposure to the intricacies of our fund servicing platform.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily financing optimization activities across various fund strategies and vehicles.
- Analyze margin requirements and generate reports for Portfolio Management.
- Manage collateral and identify exposure risks to ensure compliance with prime brokerage risk models.
- Optimize cash by reallocating funds across prime brokerage accounts to reduce financing costs and manage liquidity.
- Build relationships with internal teams and external service providers.
- Design and develop custom reporting and analyses using tools such as Python and SQL.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Beginner to intermediary technical skills for managing large data sets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- A client service mindset with clear communication skills.
- A high degree of integrity and natural curiosity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while balancing competing priorities.
