About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position running from January through June 2027. You will work directly with the Operations team to maintain the processes that keep the hedge fund running. Your work ensures that trading activity is recorded accurately and that data for securities and derivatives remains clean and reliable. You will move processes from manual workflows toward systematized solutions and partner with the Software team to translate operational needs into durable tools.
What you'll do#
- Support the reconciliation of trading activity, balances, and fees.
- Build and maintain data models and lightweight tools using SQL and AI tools.
- Identify and prototype opportunities to automate or improve operational workflows.
- Partner with the Software team to translate operational context into scalable systems.
- Support security master upkeep and assist with derivative operations.
- Perform data quality checks and process improvements for complex trades.
- Manage team administrative tasks including meeting documentation and procedure updates.
- Present on industry topics to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized across multiple workstreams.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and figuring things out independently.
- Ability to ask questions, test assumptions, and speak up.
- A systems-minded approach to understanding and improving operational workflows.
- A data-minded approach to working with structured information.
- SQL experience is a plus.
