About the role#
This internship with the MarketVector Index Operations team offers exposure to the daily functions of an index business. You will work alongside a global team and gain insight into internal departments including research, product management, and strategy. This is a full-time, paid summer role based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Support data acquisition, quality assurance, and consistency projects.
- Assist with index operations, the development of new indexes, and research processes.
- Monitor index industry trends, news, and events.
- Prepare reports, index statistics, and competitive intelligence.
- Work on projects that use data analytics, deep learning, and other advanced technologies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently entering your junior year or beyond in a 4-year degree program.
- Strong data skills and familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, R, SQL, or VBA, with a focus on data processing and automation.
- Knowledge of capital markets.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Prior corporate experience is helpful but not required.
