About the role#
As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you will work hands-on with the daily operations of the IT Service Desk. You will help ensure that devices, virtual desktops, and communication tools function smoothly. You will also help shape the internal tools and AI-assisted workflows the team uses to provide support.
What you'll do#
- Image, configure, and deploy thin clients and laptops.
- Assist with Azure Virtual Desktop (VDI) support.
- Serve as the primary IT support resource for the summer intern class.
- Test and contribute to internal Service Desk tooling and automation.
- Work with AI-assisted support workflows to resolve and document tickets.
- Provide support for Zoom-based communications and conference room AV systems.
- Manage device lifecycle tasks, including secure wiping, repurposing, and retiring hardware.
- Participate in user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Contribute to IT documentation, including procedural guides and knowledge base articles.
- Assist with the physical organization and movement of IT equipment.
- Provide general support to the wider user base.
What you'll need#
- Currently entering your junior year or beyond in a 4-year college program.
- Strong interest in IT infrastructure, cloud networking, and professional support environments.
- Curiosity about automation, scripting, or AI-assisted tools.
- Interest in capital markets and the financial industry.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and VDI environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback on tools and workflows.
- Professionalism, initiative, and a team-first attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
