About the role#
As a Corporate Accounting Summer Intern, you will work directly with the corporate accounting team to support the preparation and review of company financials. You will observe and participate in key financial processes and gain exposure to the firm through mentorship and networking events. This is a full-time, 10-week program.
What you'll do#
- Build out internal financial reporting and financial modeling frameworks.
- Assist with month-end general ledger closings and prepare supporting work papers.
- Support accounts payable by reviewing invoices, initiating journal entries, and preparing disbursements.
- Contribute to automation efforts using artificial intelligence.
- Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently entering at least your sophomore year of an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting or Finance.
- Interest in managerial accounting or accounting information systems.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and the internet.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions using common sense.
- A roll up your sleeves work ethic.
- Previous corporate experience is helpful but not required.
