About the role#
The Legal Summer Intern will join our New York office to gain hands-on experience in corporate and securities law. You will work under the supervision of our attorneys to provide support to various business units. This role offers exposure to investment management law and helps you develop practical skills in legal research, drafting, and professional interaction.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and prepare written summaries for regulatory initiatives and ongoing projects.
- Review, edit, redline, and proofread contracts, disclosure documents, and SEC filings.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC registration statements, supplements, and other regulatory submissions.
- Support the drafting and review of private fund documents, agreements, and corporate governance materials.
- Help negotiate and manage contracts with third parties.
- Participate in legal team meetings to discuss department workflow, compliance, and strategic legal issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys on projects involving compliance, operations, and business teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently entering your junior year (3rd year) or beyond in a 4-year college program.
- An interest in finance, laws, and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic.
- Familiarity with Excel and Bloomberg is helpful but not required.
- Prior experience in a corporate environment is helpful but not required.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: Paid position at a maximum rate of $25 per hour.
