About the role#
The Americas Distribution Legal Co-op will join the US Legal team at Wellington Management. This role offers hands-on experience supporting contracting activities, legal technology initiatives, and process improvements. You will work alongside legal professionals and business partners to develop practical skills in legal operations and contract management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation, review, and organization of investment management agreements and related contracts.
- Support the Legal team in responding to contract-related requests from internal business and operational units.
- Collaborate on contracting and legal operations projects.
- Conduct research and track issues related to agreements, client onboarding, controls, and procedures.
- Support the development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions, including artificial intelligence tools.
- Contribute ideas to improve legal processes, workflow design, and efficiency.
- Maintain and organize contracting resources like templates, checklists, and negotiation playbooks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at Northeastern University.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Finance.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An interest in legal operations, technology, finance, or process design.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing time-sensitive tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and an awareness of risk in all responsibilities.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote).
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
- Eligibility: This program is open exclusively to Northeastern University students.
