About the role#
The Contemporary Art Museum at the University of South Florida is hiring a Student Assistant for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site position. You will work 10 to 15 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with extra hours available during museum events.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide exhibition materials or brochures.
- Monitor exhibition galleries as part of the museum security team.
- Assist the Event Coordinator with event logistics, including equipment setup and breakdown.
- Support museum events and lunches.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff.
- Sign for deliveries and pickups.
What you'll need#
- You must be an incoming freshman or sophomore student.
- You are punctual, responsible, and dependable.
- You have a professional and cordial manner when speaking in person or on the phone.
- You are knowledgeable about the university and ready to learn new policies and procedures.
- You are comfortable responding to immediate situations as they arise.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (10-15 hours per week).
- Note: This position may require a criminal background check.
