About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 within our California Buildings district. You will work on-site for a duration of 4 or 8 months. This role provides hands-on experience on active construction projects and includes mentorship opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents with daily operations.
- Conduct safety and quality audits on-site.
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare project reports.
- Assist with surveying and project layout tasks.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment records, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field staff regarding deliveries.
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, memos, and contracts.
- Assist with estimating and soliciting pricing from suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a relevant degree program, such as Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- A goal to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18 with a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work and live in the Southern California area and relocate temporarily to project sites.
- Physical ability to navigate construction sites, climb stairs and ladders, and work near heavy equipment.
- Successful completion of a substance abuse test.

- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
