About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in the In-Home Design process at Havertys Furniture. You will work alongside store managers and interior designers to learn how we serve customers and manage our product line. This is a paid, full-time position based in Atlanta. The program typically lasts 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Convert measured rooms into precise, detailed room plans.
- Use Loft software to create designs with pre-set rooms.
- Upload photos to client profiles and create design rooms.
- Observe measures with the In-Home Design team.
- Check furniture availability and create special orders for customer requests.
- Prepare for measures by selecting products and building 2D and 3D Loft models.
- Set up presentation areas and present plans to managers.
- Review your work and receive feedback from the design team.
What you'll need#
- An interior design degree from an accredited institution, or relevant training and experience.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a responsive schedule.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of customers and team members.
- A positive, energetic, and creative personality.
- Proficiency with computers, including email and Office 365.
- Experience operating tablets or iPads is preferred.
- Familiarity with various furniture styles and products is a plus.
- A self-motivated and driven approach to work.
