About the role#
This position supports the Housing and Residential Education, Asset & Logistics business unit. You will assist with purchasing, accounts payable, shipping, and receiving tasks. This role requires attention to detail regarding the safety and accountability of assets, supplies, materials, vehicles, keys, and access cards.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with daily operations including scanning, filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Help track parts and commodities in the warehouse, closets, and storerooms.
- Perform tasks assigned through work orders and projects.
- Follow safe practices, utilizing provided safety gear as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a USF student.
- A current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the academic year.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement.
- A valid Florida Driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Experience driving large vehicles like pick-up trucks or lift trucks is helpful.
- Ability to pass the USF golf cart on-line training class.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Schedule: Flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling.
