About the role#
The Technical Operations internship provides hands-on experience within a major media environment. You will work alongside professionals on real-world projects to build your technical skills and understanding of news production. This program includes professional development sessions, networking events, and master classes to help you grow your industry knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Participate in projects that support daily operations.
- Gain exposure to control room and studio workflows.
- Work with transmission, lighting, and editing teams.
- Use prompter systems and related software.
- Assist with studio setup and various studio positions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, with at least sophomore standing.
- A strong academic record.
- Availability to work 16 to 24 hours per week for the duration of the program.
- Knowledge of current events, business news, and the media industry.
- Familiarity with FOX programming and talent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in software relevant to technical media production, such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, or iNews.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain professionalism around executives and talent.

- Term: Winter 2027 (February 8, 2027 to April 16, 2027).
- Compensation: This is a paid position at $20.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must provide your own housing and transportation. You must be available for the entire program duration.
