About the role#
The Enrollment Operations Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department. You will assist with office operations, manage communications, and help maintain student records. This position is open to students, including those with Federal Work Study.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer general questions about department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and take detailed messages for staff.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, scanning, photocopying, shredding, and sending emails.
- Use the Slate CRM system to search for, create, or modify student records.
- Assist with various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Reliability and patience when working with visitors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
