About the role#
The Dyson College of Arts and Sciences is looking for a creative Marketing and Communications Student Assistant to join their team. You will work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to document and share the student experience at Pace University. This is a paid, part-time position open to students in Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies.
What you'll do#
- Write and edit short articles, captions, and web content.
- Share weekly student-centered events through newsletters and social media.
- Capture and lightly edit photos or videos of campus events and student life.
- Design flyers and graphics for various college initiatives.
- Support the team with additional marketing projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience with graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe InDesign, or Photoshop.
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Proficiency in taking photos or videos on a smartphone.
- Ability to perform light video or photo edits using tools like CapCut or Adobe software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a creative team.
- Genuine interest in the Pace community.
- Experience editing webpages is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the semester, or up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Exact hours are determined with your supervisor.
- Term: Rolling.
