About the role#
The University Health Care Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department at the Pleasantville campus. This is a paid, on-site role that requires a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer a high volume of phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and manage detailed messages for staff.
- Enter insurance and demographic information into the Electronic Health Record system.
- Answer general questions about department procedures.
- Complete clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, shredding, and faxing.
- Assist with various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Capacity to work independently and maintain patient, professional interactions with visitors.
- Prior office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Work schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
- Availability: Priority is given to candidates with specific weekday availability.
