About the role#
This internship provides emerging therapists with hands-on experience in a collaborative clinical setting. You will work with individuals, couples, and families while receiving regular one-on-one supervision from licensed clinicians. The program emphasizes a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach to mental health care.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 12 clients per week.
- Fulfill internship training requirements set by your educational institution.
- Manage case conceptualization, diagnosis, treatment planning, and case management.
- Assist licensed professionals with assessments, intake interviews, and therapy sessions.
- Gather and document patient information, assessment results, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and psychoeducation to patients.
- Observe clinical activities and attend supervision, training, and staff meetings.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a graduate program for Clinical, School, or Applied Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marital and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- A demonstrated commitment to the field of psychology.
- A strong academic background.
- Prior coursework in clinical psychology, assessment, or therapy techniques.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Term: Fall 2027 (Start date: September 7, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (up to 20 hours per week across a maximum of 3 days).
- Compensation: Paid at 25% of net collections, paid bi-weekly.
