About the role#
The WELL at Sacramento State is hiring seasonal Event Services Set-up Assistants to support operations for the Hornet Pavilion during the 2026-2027 athletic season. This temporary role runs through mid-March 2027 and involves working on an as-needed basis to ensure events run smoothly for attendees.
What you'll do#
- Work with the event supervisor to manage room configurations and equipment operation.
- Handle the set-up, break-down, and management of special events.
- Account for and secure all audio-visual equipment, tables, chairs, and other furnishings.
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests.
- Provide feedback to the Event Services Supervisor after assigned events.
- Support general building operations and enforce facility policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Experience or ability to set up event furniture, including tables, chairs, bleachers, and pipe and drape.
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer service standards.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and work in busy environments.
- Status as a current Sacramento State student enrolled in at least nine units for undergraduates or six units for graduate students.

- Compensation: $16.90 per hour.
- Schedule: Varied, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
