About the role#
The DevOps Engineer Intern role supports the Technical and Cloud Services group. You will help design, build, and maintain secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This work focuses on improving the reliability and efficiency of software that supports courts and public safety organizations. You will work alongside development, QA, and operations teams to improve deployment processes.
What you'll do#
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage cloud environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP to ensure performance and cost-efficiency.
- Develop monitoring and logging systems using tools like CloudWatch, DataDog, or the ELK Stack.
- Work with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software lifecycle.
- Create and update documentation for infrastructure and procedures to support team knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree program.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- An understanding of networking, security, and system administration for Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, C#, SQL Server, and IIS.
- Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, or SolarWinds.
- Knowledge of .NET Framework, Octopus Deploy, RabbitMQ, and Agile methodologies is helpful.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
