About the role#
The Cloud Engineer Future role is a 10-week summer internship based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work alongside experienced cloud engineers to support infrastructure and platform technologies within Netsmart hosted environments. This position focuses on developing foundational technical skills through hands-on experience in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Support cloud infrastructure and platform technologies across hosted environments.
- Assist with cloud deployments, infrastructure management, and operational support.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving cloud services, applications, and scripts.
- Gain practical experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Participate in professional development, networking, and social events.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior working toward a degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Unix.
- Ability to understand how cloud infrastructure, networking, security, storage, and computing technologies impact your work.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Self-motivation and the ability to organize multiple projects.
