About the role#
We are hiring Technical Services Interns for the summer of 2027. You will work from our Yarmouth, Maine office to support our software clients. This role offers a look at the daily operations of a software company. You will work alongside senior team members and the IT manager to complete tasks and participate in team meetings.
What you'll do#
- Take inbound support requests from internal and external clients.
- Help staff close customer IT support tickets.
- Resolve server and software configuration issues within a team.
- Assist with software installations.
- Research and set up sand-box environments for testing, training, and troubleshooting.
- Develop tools and processes to improve time efficiency.
- Create or update system and process documentation.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of server hardware, including web servers, and network configurations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft server operating systems like Windows Server 2008/2012 and SQL Server 2008/2012.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Active Directory Services.
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Current enrollment in a program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
