About the role#
The DevOps Engineer Intern supports our Technical and Cloud Services group. You will build and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for applications used by public safety and court organizations. This role focuses on automation to improve software reliability and performance. You will work alongside development, QA, and operations teams to streamline how we deliver software.
What you'll do#
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage cloud environments to keep them performant, scalable, and cost-effective.
- Build and maintain systems for monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Work with development teams to integrate DevOps practices.
- Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of networking, security, and system administration for Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, C#, SQL Server, and IIS.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch, or SolarWinds.
- Knowledge of .NET Framework, web development, Octopus Deploy, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch is helpful.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA and Microsoft CRM.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Plano, Texas.
