About the role#
Veryable is looking for a Platform Engineer Intern to join our team. You will support our Platform Engineering group as we improve our platform for the manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing sectors. This role offers exposure to backend web development, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture in a startup environment.
What you'll do#
- Help the Platform Engineering team improve our platform.
- Gain experience with Cloud Infrastructure Scaling, DevOps, DevSecOps, and DevEx.
- Take ownership of tasks related to data infrastructure and data warehouse architecture.
- Solve real-world problems for industrial business environments.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science or Engineering program with one semester or quarter remaining.
- Knowledge of Javascript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in backend frameworks like Spring, Django, or Express.js.
- Ability to work on-site at our headquarters in Downtown Dallas.
- Detail-oriented approach to solving complex problems.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including networking and security.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Circle CI.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with database services including Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, and RedShift.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.
