About the role#
The Retail Creative Intern will support the design and development of branded retail experiences across the entire portfolio of The Walt Disney Company franchises. This is a full-time, 6-month, on-site internship based in Glendale, California, running from January 11 to June 4, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development of retail toolkits and style guides.
- Assist the team in creating architectural features, branding, signage, fixtures, and visual merchandising.
- Research new materials, fabrication processes, and technologies that advance consumer retail experiences.
- Build POV boards that include design benchmarking, materials, and sketching.
- Develop an understanding of fashion, market trends, IP guardrails, and storytelling within a built environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Technical proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering using Rhino and Enscape.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Understanding of graphic design, visual identity, composition, and color.
- Ability to convey design ideas quickly and work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising processes.
- Experience in interior design, retail design, or construction is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Blender is a plus.
- A portfolio is required for consideration and must be linked on your resume.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted US work authorization.
