About the role#
The FX Motion Design and VFX team creates marketing materials for FX shows. You will work with a group of storytellers, editors, and artists to build visual campaigns. This internship runs from January 2027 through June 2027 and reports to the Creative Director of Motion Design. You will be expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 10am to 7pm PT.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the concepting and execution of marketing campaigns for FX shows.
- Collaborate with designers and directors to pitch creative ideas.
- Design logos and styleframes.
- Perform 2D and 3D animation tasks.
- Assist the production team with versioning for marketing spots.
- Research and develop creative concepts.
- Participate in bi-weekly seminars covering entertainment marketing topics.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior year preferred.
- Coursework in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Effects, or Post-production.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and focus on details.
- Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
- Experience with Cinema 4D, Houdini, Nuke, or Resolve is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Runway, Claude, or Firefly is helpful.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Burbank, California.
- Interns must provide their own housing in the area.
- The position is paid at $23.00 per hour.
