    About the role#

    The Master Planning Studio manages the development framework for our resorts. This team focuses on land planning, urban and regional planning, transportation and infrastructure, environmental planning, and real estate development. As an intern, you will support these functions by providing technical and creative planning assistance. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Glendale or Anaheim, California, running from January 2027 to June 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the studio on day-to-day planning and design issues.
    • Provide technical and creative land and urban planning support to project teams.
    • Create planning and design documentation including graphic illustrations, imagery, boards, and color renderings.
    • Assist team leaders with site planning analysis, 3D visualization, and property-wide master planning initiatives.
    • Build graphic visualizations and presentation storylines.
    • Research and analyze data to inform short and long-term planning decisions.
    • Update the global planning database and monitor industry trends.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
    • Pursuing an advanced professional degree in a planning-related field is preferred.
    • Ability to visualize complex information clearly.
    • Experience with sketching and digital design.
    • Advanced skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
    • Proficiency in CAD, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, and Revit.
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS and its extensions.
    • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
    • Experience with large-scale community or resort planning, digital-based architectural design, or sustainable site development is a plus.
    • Membership in relevant professional organizations is preferred.
    • A portfolio review is required for this position. Please include a link to your portfolio on your resume.

    • Locations: Glendale, California and Anaheim, California.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to June).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, possess unrestricted work authorization, and have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
