    About the role#

    The Master Planning Studio manages the development framework for Disney resorts. This team focuses on land, urban, regional, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental planning. As an intern, you will support the studio across these areas to help inform short and long-term development decisions. You will work on-site in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from January 2027 to June 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide creative and technical support to master planning and project-specific teams.
    • Create planning and design documentation including graphic illustrations, imagery, boards, and color renderings.
    • Work with designers and team leaders to complete site planning analysis, 3D visualization, and master planning initiatives.
    • Build graphic visualizations and presentation storylines.
    • Conduct research and data analysis to inform planning strategies.
    • Update the global planning database and monitor industry trends.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled as a junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
    • Pursuing a degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
    • Advanced skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
    • Proficiency in CAD, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, and Revit.
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS and its extensions.
    • Ability to visualize and communicate complex information clearly.
    • Strong analytical skills and a collaborative work style.
    • A portfolio is required for this position. Please include a link to your portfolio on your resume.
    • Preferred: Experience with large-scale community or resort planning, sustainable site development, and pursuit of an advanced professional degree.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to June).
    • Employment: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: $32.00 per hour for undergraduate students and $35.00 per hour for graduate students.
