About the role#
HNTB is hiring Co-op Engineers for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms in Indianapolis. This position involves performing basic engineering tasks that align with standard post-secondary curriculum. You will work directly with engineering teams to support project development and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and related documents.
- Handle other duties as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- A basic understanding of geometric, algebraic, and engineering principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- The ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings.
- Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- A willingness to accept direction from peers and supervisors.
- Completion of two years of a post-secondary engineering program is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure is preferred.
