About the role#
The Business Analyst Co-op works with the Senior Business Advisor to drive performance reporting, metric tracking, and process improvements. You will support the Teck Digital Systems (TDS) Strategy, Planning & Performance department by facilitating planning routines and engaging with partners across finance, human resources, communications, and risk management. This role offers exposure to strategy and performance management within a multi-national corporation.
What you'll do#
- Act as a safety leader by following and sponsoring all safety and environmental rules.
- Design and develop strategic processes in an agile environment to meet departmental objectives.
- Create detailed reporting presentations and documentation for TDS partners.
- Engage with team members to accurately reflect the performance of TDS service areas.
- Develop communication strategies that translate business needs into performance improvements.
- Support the service build-out process for the Performance Team using business strategy frameworks.
- Build and maintain documentation for performance management processes and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Information Technology, Marketing, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of information.
- A passion for the intersection of business and technology, including practical programming knowledge.
- Ability to create polished, consulting-level presentation slides.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data-driven insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn new technologies on the job.
- Experience in case competitions is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with process mapping, business process improvement, performance frameworks, or KPIs is an asset.
- Experience with corporate communication, change management, or proficiency in Spanish are considered assets.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (Start date: January 4, 2027).
- Duration: 12 months.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: Paid position (CAD $4,108 - $5,183 per month).
