About the role#
This co-op position is based at Highland Valley Copper, an open-pit copper and molybdenum mine. You will gain hands-on experience in supply chain management and logistics within a large-scale mining environment. The role is a temporary, full-time position for an 8-month term beginning in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Act as a safety leader by following all environmental and safety procedures.
- Participate in site-wide health and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist with research projects, including economic analysis, trend tracking, and negotiation research.
- Manage database administration and inventory replenishment tasks.
- Prepare tender documentation and support direct charge buying processes.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives by evaluating new ideas and technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree program in Business Administration with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to share ideas with various technical and operational teams.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for the duration of the term.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Logan Lake, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (8 months).
- Compensation: CAD $4100 - $4825 per month, based on experience and competencies.
