About the role#
This internship offers exposure to manufacturing management and continuous improvement. You will work with the operations management team on daily tasks and specific projects at our facility in Spring Grove. This is a paid, part-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Plant Management and Supervisors on improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.
- Lead and participate in shop floor projects and daily meetings.
- Drive 5S activities and events.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Daily Collaborative Meeting (DCM) efforts.
- Complete action items to improve operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Rising Junior status or higher by the start of the internship.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and SolidWorks or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Strong self-management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Preferred: Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, Root Cause Analysis, or Safety Compliance.
- Preferred: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machinery, and Geometrical Tolerance specification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
