About the role#
This internship offers exposure to the human resources profession within a manufacturing environment. You will gain experience through project work and daily administrative tasks. This is a paid, part-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage new hire onboarding by scheduling drug screens and physicals, ordering PPE, tracking results, assembling packets, and completing E-verify.
- Support the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium project by onboarding high school students and tracking data for grant reimbursement.
- Maintain employee records by navigating the HRIS, updating files, and scanning terminated employee documents.
- Participate in the full recruiting cycle, including reviewing candidates, coordinating interviews, and conducting interviews for hourly roles.
- Coordinate exit interviews and report on data trends.
- Assist with community outreach to promote student employment opportunities at local high schools.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Rising Junior status or higher at the start of the internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines.
- Familiarity with Adobe products, SQL Servers, and HRIS systems is helpful.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a 90-day head hair drug test.
