About the role#
Elk Valley Resources is hiring a Talent Management Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sparwood, British Columbia. You will work within our Coal Division to support core talent initiatives and human resources processes.
What you'll do#
- Support performance management, succession planning, leadership, and learning programs.
- Answer process-related questions from a diverse audience.
- Create visual and written communication materials for various stakeholders.
- Track and develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent programs.
- Provide reporting functionality for talent initiatives.
- Manage data files on the Talent Management SharePoint site.
- Support project innovation for key initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Undergraduate or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a Commerce program with a Human Resources specialization.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint.
- Proficiency in analyzing information to support decision-making.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, maintain confidentiality, and act with professionalism.
- Experience with Success Factors, SAP, or Power BI is an asset.
- Prior work experience is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Sparwood, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 start).
- Duration: 8 or 12 months.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position (CAD 4,117 to 5,192 per month).
- Financial support for travel expenses and co-op fees is provided.
