About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position starting in January 2027. You will work on-site at our operations in Sparwood or Elkford, British Columbia. The term lasts for 8 or 12 months. You will gain hands-on experience in mining operations while working with seasoned specialists.
What you'll do#
- Follow all health and safety programs and policies.
- Collaborate on initiatives involving PLTE and CAS systems.
- Report on dispatch KPIs and work with the dispatch team to implement dynamic dispatch.
- Perform fieldwork to gather data and learn about operational processes.
- Use Microsoft Office and database management tools to support project planning and reporting.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward an undergraduate degree in Finance, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- The ability to operate vehicles in various weather conditions and terrain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
