About the role#
Scot Forge is hiring an IT Cybersecurity Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based at our corporate facility in Spring Grove, Illinois. You will work with our IT team to support a manufacturing environment through daily security tasks and projects. This role is paid and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Perform cybersecurity assessments, identify risks, and manage or remediate vulnerabilities.
- Review security configurations for identities, devices, and applications.
- Participate in security monitoring and investigations alongside the IT team.
- Document security standards, procedures, and controls.
- Contribute to security awareness and improvement initiatives, including exposure to IT and manufacturing OT environments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You must be at least a rising Junior at the start of the internship.
- You have hands-on experience or a basic understanding of cybersecurity, operating systems, or networking through coursework, labs, or projects.
- You are comfortable researching technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and documenting your findings independently.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- You must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test.
