About the role#
As an Actuarial Student in Global Risk Solutions, you will join our team to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. This full-time, paid position offers the chance to work alongside colleagues while developing your technical and communication skills. You will contribute to meaningful projects and gain exposure to our core actuarial processes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare experience analysis reports and conduct experience studies.
- Analyze premium reset exercises using Excel and GGY AXIS.
- Monitor and report on risk limits.
- Build analysis tools to support inforce management activities.
- Run actuarial models using Excel, Prophet, or GGY AXIS.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Mathematics program with a major in Actuarial Science.
- Knowledge of actuarial concepts appropriate for your level of education.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with GGY AXIS or Prophet is preferred.
- Programming experience in VBA is preferred.
- Passing at least one SOA exam is preferred.

- This role is based on-site in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
