About the role#
The Global Portfolio Management team provides investment advice, execution, and performance monitoring for internal clients. As an intern, you will support portfolio managers and analysts in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of investment portfolios. This role offers insight into the daily operations of an institutional investment manager and the chance to interact with investment professionals.
What you'll do#
- Generate, recommend, and implement improvements for portfolio management reports.
- Ensure investments are reviewed, analyzed, and accounted for accurately and on time.
- Provide data on holdings and portfolio risks to portfolio managers, analysts, the CIO, credit research, and investment accounting.
- Assist the team in building strategic asset allocation plans.
- Develop research reports on issuers, industries, and markets.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and contribute to special projects, committees, and cross-functional initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time graduate student in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field at an accredited US university.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Technical aptitude, including experience with programming and process automation.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A self-motivated and creative approach to tasks.
