About the role#
The Investment Solutions team at RGA develops and executes liability-driven investment strategies. This includes portfolio construction and repositioning to support the acquisition of new reinsurance business. You will work on multiple projects that require balancing business needs, such as investment income and return on capital, with risk management constraints.
What you'll do#
- Create transaction-specific asset strategies to optimize return on capital.
- Develop and maintain asset and credit-related pricing assumptions for new business.
- Build and maintain tools and models to construct investment portfolios.
- Screen new investment opportunities through due diligence, research, and initial reviews.
- Act as a liaison with credit, portfolio management, and operations teams.
- Manage implementation issues for proposed asset strategies and handle the transition of responsibilities to in-force management teams.
- Model asset cash flows to support ALM and cash flow analysis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with programming and process improvement or automation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python is preferred.
- A creative and self-motivated approach to work.
