About the role#
The Fixed Income Credit Research internship offers exposure to the investment department of a global insurance company. You will work alongside senior credit analysts to learn how the team evaluates companies and industries. This role focuses on understanding the credit research process within the framework of asset liability management objectives.
What you'll do#
- Perform fundamental credit analysis through in-depth company and industry research.
- Evaluate and monitor existing portfolio holdings.
- Identify new investment opportunities with attractive risk and return characteristics.
- Build financial statement models for credit research.
- Gather information on specific industries and present findings to the team.
- Complete ad hoc credit reporting and cross-functional projects.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student status at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field at an accredited US university.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interest in programming and process automation.
- Self-motivated and creative mindset.
