About the role#
This is a full-time, paid actuarial student position within the Enterprise Risk Analytics team. You will join a multinational team to gain experience in the reinsurance industry while contributing to model validation and risk management projects. This role is based on-site in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Assist with model validation activities, risk monitoring, and reporting.
- Help implement the GRC tool for Model Risk Management governance.
- Maintain the model validation report repository.
- Support the team with various ad hoc requests.
What you'll need#
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as VBA, R, or Python.
- High attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
- Prior experience in the (re)insurance industry or risk management.
- Preferred: Experience with PowerBI.
- Preferred: Completion of at least one actuarial exam.
