About the role#
The 2027 ETP Intern for Internal Audit provides an opportunity to gain experience within the financial services industry. Interns support the Internal Audit Division by helping protect the organization from emerging risks and supporting business objectives. This role involves exposure to various audit areas including consumer banking, corporate bank credit, financial crimes, and information security.
What you'll do#
- Receive exposure to all basic functions of the assigned audit group.
- Assist in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of a risk-based audit program, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Perform internal audit fieldwork under the supervision of experienced auditors.
- Create workpapers that meet audit evidence requirements.
- Interact with middle and senior management across multiple bank business units to provide recommendations for maintaining an audit-ready environment.
- Assist in various projects and research tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks during the summer.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Interest in developing technical skills and gaining professional work experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (sponsorship is not provided).
