About the role#
The Audit Intern will gain on the job experience by working with an effective audit team. You will learn auditing techniques from experienced professionals and perform testing across various projects. This role provides assurance on the effectiveness of control processes and offers suggestions to improve operational efficiencies. You will interact with senior management and gain exposure to Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Analysis processes.
What you'll do#
- Work with the IT Audit and SOX testing teams.
- Rotate through different audit teams, including Financial, Operational, Compliance, Branch, and Data Analytics.
- Analyze and evaluate controls, processes, and procedures alongside team members.
- Perform independent testing within a variety of internal audits.
- Interact with business line personnel and management.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Ability to effectively document audit work.
- An aptitude for technology related topics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work on a team, ask questions, and provide status updates.
- A motivated and organized approach to work.
- Adaptability, resilience, and an optimistic outlook.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 18, 2027, to July 30, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in office 3 days per week).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Note: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
