About the role#
The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term in Tucson, Arizona. This role focuses on the systems engineering lifecycle, where you will work with multidisciplinary teams to design, integrate, and test tactical systems. You will support effectors projects and help ensure systems meet requirements for performance and reliability.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and integration documentation.
- Execute testing in both simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems.
- Evaluate test results to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Create and modify documentation for design reviews and test events.
- Perform platform integration, flight testing, and design verification.
- Analyze data to identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis to verify system performance.
- Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Academic or internship experience involving hands-on testing of electronic equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues with electronics through coursework, projects, or hobbies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
