About the role#
This internship is based in the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department in Andover, Massachusetts. You will work with a team that develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices and integrated circuits for defense applications. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Work in a cleanroom environment.
- Handle GaAs and GaN wafers.
- Assist with lithography, deposition, and etch processes.
- Perform and document optical microscope inspections.
- Conduct scanning electron microscope imaging.
- Carry out failure and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or graduate degree program in a STEM major, including Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering fields.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in semiconductor processing.
- A strong academic record.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
