About the role#
This is a full-time internship position for Summer 2027 based in Austin, Texas. You will work on-site at our facility to support quality metrology processes. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role to access necessary systems.
What you'll do#
- Perform volumetric metrology scanning using computed tomography and structured light equipment.
- Collaborate with the onsite tooling design team to create nesting fixtures for parts.
- Evaluate standard work documents and instructions to ensure they are clear and complete.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- You must remain actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Preference is given to candidates with a major or minor in Metallurgy or Materials Science.
- Previous exposure to quality tools and principles is a plus.
- Prior work experience, co-ops, or internships with RTX are also preferred.
