About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the Research and Technology team focusing on Aircraft Systems Architectures. This position is open to current students only, and you may be required to travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate PLM data interoperability needs and standards.
- Create a schema to integrate process and need-specific cross-disciplinary vendor and in-house tooling.
- Perform gap analysis by evaluating available data interoperability solution frameworks.
- Develop and test APIs to support the integration of SysML v2 data with vendor tools, in-house design tooling, and the centralized PLM repository.
- Investigate model query schemas using native AI tools and protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Familiarity with SE, MBSE, Simulation, and PLM concepts and tools.
- Experience integrating software tools across API implementations.
- Knowledge of cross-tool interoperability challenges and implementation strategies.
- Exposure to data exchange frameworks, protocols, and formats such as DoDAF, MOSA, OSLC, REST APIs, STEP, ReqIF, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with software development workflows including version control, debugging, and configuration management using Python, C++, Java, and Git.
